§1 Abstract & Executive Problem Statement

Indoor golf has no portable, trusted handicap. This specification defines SIMDEX™, a normalization and governance layer that converts heterogeneous simulator rounds into a single comparable differential.

1.1 Regulatory Gap

USGA / GHIN rules do not permit simulator scores to be posted for an official Handicap Index, leaving indoor competitors with no sanctioned standard.

1.2 Putting Radius Arbitrage

An 8-ft auto-gimmie converts at 100% versus the 52.4% PGA Tour make rate from 8 ft — a systematic scoring subsidy.

1.3 Cross-Engine Asymmetry

Radar (Trackman 4) and stereoscopic optical arrays (Uneekor EYE XO, Foresight Falcon, GSPro) model launch and roll differently, biasing scores by engine.

§2 Universal Simulator Scoring Normalization

2.1 SIMDEX™ Putting & Gimmie Equalization

Governed by SIMDEX™ Fair-Play Algorithms (Patent Pending)

Equalizes 8ft gimmie circles with manual turf putting so every bay competes on equal footing — zero player disputes, cheat-proof league flights.

2.2 Interactive Normalizer Sandbox

§3 Anti-Sandbagging & Dynamic Indoor Soft-Cap Protocol

3.1 The Indoor Compression Reality

Outdoor 12-handicaps routinely play like 4s indoors: zero lost balls, guaranteed flat mat lies, and an invariant atmosphere (no wind, temperature or firmness variance) compress score dispersion. Raw indoor scores therefore overstate ability unless normalized.

3.2 Rolling 4-of-8 Formulation

Governed by SIMDEX™ Fair-Play Algorithms (Patent Pending)

Equalizes 8ft gimmie circles with manual turf putting so every bay competes on equal footing — zero player disputes, cheat-proof league flights.

3.3 Exceptional Scoring Reduction (ESR)

Governed by SIMDEX™ Fair-Play Algorithms (Patent Pending)

Equalizes 8ft gimmie circles with manual turf putting so every bay competes on equal footing — zero player disputes, cheat-proof league flights.

A single round far below the current index triggers an automatic reduction, applied before the next event lock.

3.4 Upward Soft Cap

Governed by SIMDEX™ Fair-Play Algorithms (Patent Pending)

Equalizes 8ft gimmie circles with manual turf putting so every bay competes on equal footing — zero player disputes, cheat-proof league flights.

Increases above the 12-month low are dampened 50% beyond +3.0, preventing pre-tournament inflation.

Zero-install security. EdgeSync CV™ verifies each round at the edge. No software is installed on simulator PCs, no network bridge into facility systems is required, and venue IT boundaries remain untouched.
